This depends largely on the patient's pain threshold. It's not so much painful as it is a little uncomfortable in some cases, but even this can be greatly alleviated with a local anaesthetic.

It varies a lot, at least half a year, but it can be up to 1 year before the scar is white. The main thing is that the scar has to bleach out; we cannot treat pink or red areas because the area is still healing.
